The promotional budget of Irish charity Ballinglen Arts Foundation, located in the tiny village of Ballycastle, is not large. So receiving a donation from Google ad words – the non-profit edition of Google AdWords – has made a huge difference. “The Grant is a wonderful thing,” says a delighted Una Forde, the Foundation’s Managing Director. “We bring serious artists to Ballycastle and offer an educational programme to local schools. Google ad words help us promote our paying workshops to a worldwide audience and validates us to donors and artists. To date, 54,000 people have come to Ballycastle as a result of the Foundation’s work – and it looks like AdWords is helping the net spread even wider. Una is now receiving many more enquiries about what the Foundation offers, including some from as far away as Australia.
